This is a question that we get almost daily. My response has been, if you can afford to buy today, there are a lot of opportunites for you to look at, like reduced home prices, short sales, forclosures and such. I also remind our clients that mortgage rates are still low, and very much optainable. For most areas, we are still in a buyers market and it is a very good time to buy!
2008 is presenting a unique and interesting combination that we have not seen in a long time, maybe never. Lower housing prices and Record-Low interest rates. Homebuyers who are waiting for the media to gvie the go ahead, will most likely see higher interest rates and fewer home choices by the end of the year. The media’s doom and gloom outlook on everything is keeping buyers from making a good if not great deal on a home purchase. When everyone is selling and no one is buying, It’s the right time to buy!
